Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The main objective is to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is extremely comfortable and gently rounded. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential info, so as to keep the operator functioning as efficiently as she or he could.
Vibration levels and noise levels are kept low due to the insulated mounting on the chassis. So that they can maintain an optimal working position, the operator seat and hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and easy to operate levers which are offered for windscreen wipers, gear changing, the window washers and horn.
A ventilation/heating unit guarantees a comfortable cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The equipment has a robust 3-speed fan for defrosting, recirculation, cooling and heating. As an additional option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The standard instruments that include: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Moreover, gauges display values for fuel quantity, operating time, engine coolant and gearbox oil pressure.
The ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring is one of the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults that take place and their current values.
