In order to be a successful model, a lift truck has to be strong enough to last in all working conditions for numerous hours of use. It needs to be able to transport loads quickly and efficiently as well. The machine must be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator too.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It needs to be strong enough to constantly provide amazing strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with really tough shafts and robust gears. The transmission, engine, drive and steer axle are all isolated to reduce noise and vibration inside of the operator's compartment.
Mazda and GM Gas & LP Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These kinds of equipment provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimal adjustment or repair. These kinds of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which minimize wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to improved torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15% stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available which automatically adjusts in order to decrease maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to eliminate shock loading, increase durability and extend the life of the tires. In addition, the auto deceleration feature reduces brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Engineered for added strength, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
In order to protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that can add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. What's more, cast ductile iron axle lessens wear and increases toughness.
Yale had made many ergonomic features and safety features part of their regular packages. These types of machines will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
